    Step 2

    Auto-calculate tax under Section 115BBH

    Step 3

Get a detailed PDF with trade-wise breakdown, Schedule VDA data, and AIS reconciliation — ready for your CA or self-filing.

    Why Use CryptoITR for CoinDCX?

CoinDCX is one of India's largest crypto exchanges. CryptoITR is purpose-built to parse CoinDCX XLSX trade report exports and compute your Indian crypto tax liability under Section 115BBH of the Income Tax Act.

    • Full support for CoinDCX XLSX trade report format
    • FIFO cost-basis matching across financial years
    • 30% flat tax on gains + 1% TDS credit tracking
    • AIS reconciliation to match Income Tax portal data
    • Schedule VDA-ready PDF for ITR-2 / ITR-3 filing

CoinDCX Tax Rules Indian Traders Get Wrong

The 30% rate is the easy part. These are the CoinDCX-specific details that actually decide whether your ITR survives scrutiny.

Instant, Spot and Futures live in different sheets

The CoinDCX report separates Instant orders (INR pairs), Spot orders (mostly USDT pairs) and Futures into different sheets with different layouts. CryptoITR routes each sheet to a dedicated parser — including converting USDT-quoted trades to INR so your entire history is computed in one currency, the way Schedule VDA requires.

TDS is auto-deducted — verify, then claim

CoinDCX deducts 1% TDS on sales under Section 194S and deposits it against your PAN. It should appear in your AIS. CryptoITR reads the TDS from your report and applies it as a credit; if your AIS total doesn't match, the report gives your CA the trade-level detail to reconcile the difference.

Don't open the XLSX before uploading

Excel and Google Sheets silently reformat dates and large numbers on save, which corrupts parsing. Download the emailed report and upload the file as-is — CryptoITR reads the original formatting. If you've already opened and saved it, re-generate the report from the app.

    Futures dual-treatment built in

CoinDCX offers INR-margined and USDT-margined futures. Each trade's P&L is computed individually at 30% under the VDA framework with no loss set-off between positions — CryptoITR keeps futures separate from spot so the treatment is defensible in scrutiny.

    A Worked CoinDCX Example

Across FY you made 40 instant buys of ETH totalling ₹2,00,000 and sold everything in one order for ₹2,55,000:

    Sale consideration₹2,55,000
Cost of acquisition (40 FIFO lots)₹2,00,000
    Taxable gain₹55,000
    Tax @ 30% + 4% cess₹17,160
TDS deducted by CoinDCX (1%)−₹2,550 credit

FIFO matches your single sell against 40 small buy lots in purchase order. Doing this by hand in Excel is where most self-filers make errors — CryptoITR does it per paisa.
